2023 is Shaping Up As a Year for Chas Guay to Share Lots of Music!

January 1, 2023 – When browsing the 2023 calendar of performances on this website, you will soon realize that Chas is a member of three bands: Drifting Bird where he plays guitar and fronts his own songwriting, Original Soundtrack (OST) where he plays bass guitar, and as a member of Bleu Nuit – Reyaldo & the Dalliances. A small description of the variety of works and bands is provided on each calendar date for the individual performance.

Although it is widely recognized that we are not through the other side of the COVID-19 virus, it is good to see that venues have opened up their doors to live music, once again.

“It is good to be back performing on a regular basis”, says Guay. “During the last two years, I have spent more time in rehearsal spaces than on the stage, but I (and other bandmates) have been developing new works. I am anxious to share some of what we have designed and look forward to new audiences enjoying the variety of work I am now involved in.”

In addition to band performances noted, Chas also shares his musical talents one-on-one through his ability to connect music-and-response with residents of long-term care facilities in Ottawa. Although some health restrictions remain in place, he enjoys performing for those who are institutionalized, mainly for Alzheimer patients.
